We have probably all dealt with snide remarks directed toward a tee shirt we were wearing or rude remarks or challenges made during demonstrations and protests.  Identifying the underlying motivation for these responses helps us to recognize forces that operate beyond the perceived surface of social interactions.  These interactions are opportunities to plant seeds for social change.  I will share my experiences talking with folks that are from “the other side” (industry, Ag students, etc.) and how I was able to effect change through our interaction.
