CONFERENCE STAFFING

Thank you for your interest in the AR2008 Staffing Program. This program allows conference participants to earn back all or part of their registration and other expenses by helping at the conference (or before). It's a great opportunity to meet other participants and help us to make the conference the best it can be.

You are still expected to register and pay at the reduced $120 rate. At the end of the conference, we will pay you for the number of hours worked at the rate specified below. The difference in pay rate is related to your ability to participate in the sessions during your assignment (for example, badge checkers can listen to sessions in progress while those working outside tables cannot). The number of hours worked can be between 4-12.

Please note that low-income discounts cannot be combined with staffing.

Job Descriptions

Registration ($10/hr)
- issue badges, tickets, folios

Office ($10/hr)
- help set up and pack office
- store supplies, equipment, merchandise
- respond to telephone inquiries

Merchandise ($10/hr)
- staff conference and FARM merchandise tables
- set up and break down merchandise tables daily

Food ($10/hr)
- set up and breakdown breakfast and evening snacks

Videos ($7/hr)
- set up and secure VCR, monitor, and tapes
- show videos

Badge-Checking ($7/hr)
- check badges before/during sessions
- monitor area for problems
